Medical astrology is an ancient medical system that associates various parts of the body, diseases and drugs as under the influence of the Sun, Moon and planets, along with the twelve astrological signs. Each of the astrological signs (along with the Sun, Moon, and planets) are associated with different parts of the human body. Disease can be diagnosed through birth chart or Prashna Astrology. The planets in a birth chart which are weak due to ill placement, combustion or being afflicted cause diseases connected with the significations ruled by them. For example: If Mercury being the lord of the ascendant is weak/afflicted by Rahu/Ketu or Sat, may cause suffering by way of nervous breakdown, skin , breathing & mental problems etc. The Sun (Karka of vitality), the Moon (Karka of mind) signify the physical and mental health in general. From experiences, Vedic Medical Astrology is found to be very accurate .In my friend’s chart Saturn and rahu are placed together with dasha of 8th lord, she is suffering from breast cancer .In one of my client’s chart debilitated and afflicted venus is in 2ndhouse with running dasha of venus, he gets hospitalized on and off due to excessive intake of alcohol.
